Cupping
Cupping is one of the treatment methods in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). It is a kind of therapy by placing vacuum jars on the skin surface, and moving the jar following the meridians of the body. This draws up the underlying tissues.
It can help draw out the toxins inside the body, promoting the free energy flow and improve lymphatic circulation. When the cup is left on the skin few a few minutes, blood stasis is formed and localised healing takes place.
It also has a similar effect to deep tissue massage. Scientific research indicates that Cupping could effect the body up to 4 inches into the tissue, which helps blood circulation and causes tissues to release toxins, activates the lymphatic system, and clears colon blockages.
Cupping is normally used with acupuncture or massage to help sports injuries, muscular tensions, or cold, etc.
